Happy New Year!

2011 was a busy year. I'm excited for a slower paced 2012.

John & I rang in the New Year with the Ourtoberfest crew at Sbrocco. We like to celebrate NYE with a fancypants dinner.

It's hard to believe I've been friends with this group for 10 years. We all started in the Service Center at Allied. They are such wonderful friends.

In addition to the regular Ourtoberfest crew Sarah and Ivy joined us this year. We are happy to welcome them to the Ourtoberfest community. We are hopeful they will join us at all of our upcoming Ourtoberfest events.

I wish you all a wonderful 2012. May this year be your best year yet.

Baseball

It has been a beautiful week here in Iowa. I happily took the afternoon off last Wednesday to spend the afternoon at the ballpark with TC and Seymour. We couldn't have asked for a nicer day.

The I Cubs won.

The food was tasty.

And my friends, as usual, were entertaining.



It's hard to believe it's almost the end of the baseball season. In a couple of weeks we are going to our last day game of the year. I'm going to miss spending the afternoon in the stands.

Happy Halloween

I love Halloween. It's a holiday built around costumes and food. Those are both things I love. I decided to throw a party this year.

There was a lot of food...

...including condiments....

.....and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich...

There was plenty to drink.

Some people were over dressed.

Some people didn't dress up.

One person was a costume thief.

Rabbit Bruno and World Peace showed up.

As did Dr. House and a Grammar Ninja.

An Iowa State Flood Victim and a guy in a t shirt also showed up.

It was a night filled with good times and great friends. I'm already looking forward to next year. I already know what kind of sandwich I'll be.
